Holle Goat Milk Formula Overview

Holle has a 90 year legacy in baby formula and nutrition. Holle goat milk formulas are known for minimally processed formulas crafted from all natural and organic ingredients that meet the highest standards of organic farming. The milk used in Holle's goat formula is gently processed to preserve its nutritional integrity and closely mimic breast milk.

Benefits of Goat Milk

Goat milk formulas stand out among other types of formulas because of their nutritional profile. Goat milk contains a higher proportion of A2 beta-casein proteins compared to cow's milk. You'll also find that the fat globules in goat milk are smaller than those found in cow's milk. This can lead to better nutrient absorption and can be easier on tiny tummies.

  • Similar to Breast Milk Composition: Goat milk formulas contain the A2 proteins we mentioned above which are structurally more similar to the proteins found in human breast milk. Cow's milk contains both A1 and A2 proteins, while goat milk mostly has A2 proteins. A1 proteins in cow's milk form firmer curds in the stomach, making them harder for some babies to digest. The A2 proteins in goat milk formula are softer, reducing the likelihood of stomach issues.
  • Gentle on the Digestive System & Supports Immune Health: Does your baby struggle with bloating, gas, or acid reflux? If so, switching to goat milk formula can be huge because goat milk is gentler on the digestive system due to its unique structure. This allows it to be broken down easily. Goat milk also contains oligosaccharides. This prebiotic promotes healthy gut bacteria which can help to ward off infections and sickness.
  • Easily Absorbed: Many parents like goat milk formulas for their babies because the fat in goat milk is more easily absorbed. This provides a plenty of energy for your baby as they grow and develop.
  • Can Help Babies with Allergies: If your baby has allergies or sensitivity to milk products, goat milk formula may be a better alternative. It contains different proteins that are less likely to lead to an allergic response. Always consult with your pediatrician if you suspect your baby has food allergies and before switching to goat milk formula.
  • Lower Lactose Content: Goat milk-based formula can contain less lactose than cow's milk formula. If your baby has a mild sensitivity to lactose, goat's milk may be a better option as it will be easier on their stomachs. But, if your baby has been diagnosed as being lactose intolerant, goat milk-based formula will not be a good choice because there is still a moderate amount of lactose.
